I am a student of change and exited about the potential change has as an agent to facilitate and enable growth, excellence, wealth and happiness.

Johan has been a student, lecturer and manager in conservation and farming in both the public and private sector since completing his studies in ecology. Here he learnt how to manage people to desperation. After realising that one manages things and leads people, he asked Etsko Schuitema (www.schuitema.co.za) to be his mentor in 2003.  

He thinks that the most powerful leverage for change, transformation and productivity is to be found in the change of heart of management in organisations. His mission in life is to facilitate an understanding that leadership is a choice and not a position, and that effective leadership is a move away from fear and accumulation towards a life of courage and contribution. He now finds meaning in life by sharing and living the truism of ecology: to be sustainable, the ecological web of life, like the economic web of wealth, has to be held together by relationships which complements rather than compete. Only then is optimum value added.

Johan does not claim to be eloquent, brilliant, masterful, dynamic, accomplished, energetic, a sought-after motivational speaker or entertainer, an international speaker, incredible, awsome, fantastic, wonderful... He does not claim to change people's lives, or those of their companies. Not even permanently. He does not know the right path for your life, or what you should be aspiring for.

All he knows is how little he knows. He trusts that you and your company knows what is best for you and your company. And he hopes to clarify that in your own minds.
